More on Spider bites: This week a friend was bitten by a spider on the Eyelid – over a few days the eyelid swelled up and became painful the lymph nodes swelled as the body tried to deal with the poison. We massaged cypress and frankincense around the orbit but not in the eye. Also Lavender oil over the Lymph Glands in the neck. It began to look very nasty so although it would not be a usual consideration he did take antibiotics. You just can not mess around with spider bites. They did not seem to help though so to kick start the body’s immune he drank a whole bottle of Ningxia Red (a fantastic antioxidant drink from Young Living) in 24 hours to assist the body to deal with it. I also gave him an auryvedic herb for bites and poison. Still the bite was swollen and very nasty. We used a potent mix of antimicrobial oils rectally and he started to feel better after the first application ( a fantastic way to bypass the gut and get oils directly into the blood). Now it seems to be a little better however is itchy and irritated still very red and a bit swollen. I just heart that Lavender can be added to water and sprayed in the eye ( I had never used oils in eye) so I made up a spray of 4 drops of Young Living Lavender with 150 mls of boiled filtered water and shook it up and sprayed it in the eye, the result was he said it felt immediately soothed, so now he is spraying it every 1/2 hour for relief from the itching. I will keep you posted – I have seen how bad spider bites can be and can eat away the flesh. Thank you to holistic health care this man will keep his beautiful eye. xxx Soraya young living essential oils distributor number 540882. weblink
