Satsang-Kirtan Friday night: $40

This weekend retreat will consider life and death – the full circle. We will focus on practical techniques in yoga that help us realise and express our full nature and to recognise and respect the one Self in everyone.

Integrating these guidelines in our lifestyle brings acceptance, joy and a sense of purpose, and it improves our relationship with ourselves and others. Focusing on the luminosity of the soul, the atma, improves the samskaras in our psyche, the karmic seed we carry with us life after life. It gives strength for the full circle of life and death.

This weekend will be led by Swami Yogakanti, author of Life and Death – Full Circle, a book published by Yoga Publications Trust Bihar India. Soraya will be co-leading with the practices of yoga.

Swami Yogakanti Saraswati is the author of Life and Death: Full Circle, a book published in 2020 by Yoga Publications Trust. She has been studying and teaching yoga for over 40 years and was initiated into poorna sannyasa by Swami Satyananda in 1980, subsequently based at the Bihar School of Yoga in Munger for her yogic and Sannyasa training since 1984. The book explores the full spectrum of human experience, emphasising a shift in attitude necessary for living with peace and harmony and preparing for the transition beyond death. It draws upon ancient scriptures and includes meditations by Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati aimed at purifying intentions and fostering positive samskaras for future lives. The work reflects her deep engagement with Yoga, Vedanta, and the study of Sanskrit, and it is part of her broader contribution to spiritual literature, including other works like Living Shankara and The Contemporary Position of Yoga in the Dasnami Tradition of Sri Adi Shankaracharya.

This will be a very special weekend retreat. For those choosing to stay overnight please book in advance as accommodation is limited.
